Senior Building Engineer
Mr. Rodriguez is the senior engineer for a diverse portfolio of buildings including both small and larger office and retail buildings. Mr. Rodriguez is in charge of installing and servicing heat pump units at the Jefferson Building and maintaining a comfortable work environment for those tenants. He also provides general building engineering services at the other buildings including maintenance of all building systems. Mr. Rodriguez enjoys the interaction he has with his tenants and solving problems in an efficient manner.
Away from his work responsibilities, Mr. Rodriguez enjoys restoring classic cars as well as renovating his home.
Maintenance Engineer/Lead Painter
David was born in Seattle and grew up in Washington and California. He has been a painter and maintenance engineer for various Pioneer Square buildings since 1995. His work is meticulous and he has an encyclopedic knowledge of paint, stains and techniques. In his spare time David is involved in several community theater groups where he has acted in a number of plays. He is particularly good as a villain.
Louis Pratt, Born in the Mid-West, Louis relocated to Seattle in 2001. He received his certification in Building Maintenance in 2008. Louis is the newest addition to the MaKensay maintenance team, and he has a background in both interior and exterior maintenance. Louis was previously employed at the Pike Market Senor Center, as part of their Maintenance Crew and joined MaKensay in 2015. Louis has also worked with Washington State Dept. of Roads, maintaining and repairing State and County Roads, as well as the repair of ramps and crosswalks. Louis preforms the important task of preparing our Buildings for their mornings opening. Away from MaKensay his comforts are, jazz and fitness.
David ‘Chip’ Mead is the Building Engineer at Jefferson House, a 50,000 sq. ft. office building on Capital Hill. Chip started working at The Jefferson Building in 1986, when the building was only a year old. Chip has also worked as maintenance for seven apartment buildings containing 145 units and has helped with the construction of several apartment buildings, a six unit luxury condo, and 6 homes, gaining maintenance knowledge, skills and experience. Away from MaKensay, Chip and his wife enjoy time with their granddaughters, and working part time as Facilities Supervisor for his Church.
